* WE REQUIRE EVERYONE WHO IS PARTICIPATING IN ONE OF OUR DIG OPTIONS, EXCEPT GROUND ZERO AND VIRTUAL DIGS, TO BE A MEMBER *

Becoming a member is easy! When you arrive at Mohawk Valley Mineral Mining, you will pay your yearly membership fee of $25 per person for 2024. Dig fees are separate.

DIG OPTIONS AT MVMM

Option #1: Day Digs

Day Passes to Explore MVMM

Standard Day Dig

Freedom to explore one of our many marked zones. Find a fresh spot and work your way into the dirt, searching for loose crystals OR find some promising dolostone ledge to pop open pockets with unbelievable crystals. An Official Guide will be available for light assistance throughout your Day Dig.

Check in begins 9:00AM. Please arrive prompt. Transport will take members down based on sign in times. Arrange the time for your ride out of the dig site with your guide. No guaranteed transport between the hours of 10:30AM - 3:00PM. Please bring everything you need for the day and plan accordingly.

GROUND ZERO

Ground Zero is an affordable option to dig through fresh, untouched tailings from inside our mine. Bring your hammer and chisel to work large chunks of dolostone rock or sift through the dirt with a shovel. It is possible to discover water-clear gems, druze, and even a larger crystal. Ground Zero is situated near the parking lot, so you can be close to your vehicle.

Option #2: Machine Digs

Dig with POWER

Scott, the owner, will operate the excavator and tackle massive amounts of dirt & dolostone ledge. The machine does all of the hard work for you, then you jump in with your tools to finish the job. Experience may be loud. Includes Day Dig Pass.

Our prospector will assist you with digging during your machine dig and help you locate a pocket. This option is guaranteed.

*Please arrive at 8:30AM. Check-in begins at 9:00AM. You will go to the machine dig area and begin prospecting. The machine will begin operating an hour and a half after check-in. Please view all service details prior to booking your machine dig.

Option #3: Virtual Dig

Watch us dig for you from anywhere in the world. Keep what we find.

Engage in live and/or pre-recorded mining adventures from the comfort of your own home, all from behind your screen. With every virtual dig, you get to keep anything that our expert guide finds while you watch us from a video feed (we will fill up to an 8"x8" box. Each additional box is $150.) Crystals will be shipped for free via USPS.

Option #4: Take a Course

LEDGE-BREAKING COURSE

Join our one-of-a-kind Ledge-Breaking Course with MVMM Master Guide Jeff Apel, an experienced educator and hard worker who will make tackling the ledge less daunting. This 3-hour course introduces the tools and techniques for efficiently moving dolostone, insights on MVMM's unique geology, and answering all of your questions during hands-on digging.
